Tom Williamson is Professor of Landscape History, University of East Anglia; he has written widely on landscape archaeology, agricultural history, and the history of landscape design.
We are hoping to move to Norfolk later this year, so I was interested to read a book about the geography and history of the area. This book certainly hit the nail on the head, but found it hard going at times. What it did do was give me an overview of what the region of East Anglia had gone through over the last millennia and longer. I currently live in Cornwall and I am familiar with it's characteristics due to it's geology and proximity to the sea. East Anglia is exactly the same, but completely different.
This book goes a long way to describe the the landscape, geological and cultural development in East Anglia.
