Into All A History of the International Churches of Christ. In this text, Foster Stanback provides the first book-length, historical study of this small but impactful and controversial movement. Foster writes with objectivity, and the result is a stunningly good analysis of its tradition, its historical roots, its cultural milieu, its activities, its organization, its theology, and it's phenomenal growth. The book contains many photographs and an appendix that charts the growth of churches and mission work.

Book about the history of the ICOC. It starts with a whole chapter on background - Reformation, Restoration, Churches of Christ - and then has a chapter on the Crossroads movement and then on to the Boston movement and international missions. I really loved the background information because church history is fascinating. The book is mostly factual, but it has lots of good information on important theology and practices in these movements. It was written by someone in the ICOC, which is good because most of the literature on the ICOC is written by critics. It isn't biased either way, though. I was very enthralled by this book, I read it in a few days, it's generally a short and easy read. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in church history in general or to learn about where our movement has come from.
