These books are set in an extremely fascinating world and packed with action. Very believable characters run thrilling adventures through a strange and steampunk-ish world through the most towering moving traction cities and the bustling vibrant streets of the static cities. Amazing tales of exploits come from the skies as the characters adventure through the bird roads. From Fever Crumb and a Web of Air, the birth of the background and the beginning of the age is told as humanity slowly rediscovers and rebuilds what was lost because of the war among the Ancients.

Finally finished them all! A Darkling Plain is wonderful, full of twists and turns, hope and hopes dashed. Cannot read the last chapter and have dry eyes.
