In April of 2020, I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Journaling saved my life from self-destruction.
If you understand the symptoms of PTSD, you also know journaling likely saved the lives of other people as well. Not in a violent way, but because journaling allowed me to become a whole human being without drowning the people I love.
Writing allows a mindful release and expression of anxious feelings. Once I write them, they always seem to disappear. For me personally, journaling led to writing two artful, thoughtful books about my spiritual journey with God; which has led to a beautiful expression of life.
