The best thing about this dictionary is its illustrated center plates, which offer the Arabic words for "sea fishes", three pages of fruit (with pomegranate appearing on all three pages), "Islamic architecture", "some common birds of the Palearctic", "butterflies and moths", "clouds", "medicinal herbs", "reptiles", two pages of vegetables, two pages of human anatomy, and, best of all, "mammals of the world", which is actually just marsupials. So if you anticipate that you may someday find yourself lost in Australia with an Arabic-speaker and need to both identify and point out a rabbit-eared bandicoot, this is the dictionary for you!

An absolutely amazing Arabic-to-English, English-to-Arabic dictionary, has helped me out a great deal in Arabic class.
