In this way, speculative interpretations are avoided and the message is seen as part of the whole of Scripture. Diagrams help to relate each part of Revelation to a 'time line' of world history.

A simple, insightful, and helpful addition for anyone reading the Book of Revelation. The author doesn't get lost in the signs and symbols and resists the urge to champion his own speculations. "The role of the church in the time before the end is to preach the gospel in spite of the fact that it is unwelcome and that to do so will invite persecution and suffering." p.39
