This is the history of one branch of the Hepting family. Our journey begins with a baby born as Anton Kirner who later became Anton Hepting. His son Anton (later Anthony) Hepting, at the age of eighteen, left his family and his home village of Eisenbach, deep in the Black Forest of Germany, to take up a clock and watchmaking apprenticeship in London and to find a life of better opportunities and trade.
From Anton born in the Black Forest and his son Anthony who emigrated from Germany to London in 1867 many descendants were born, married, had children and died between the years 1750 and 2020. This book tells the story of the lives of some of those family members.
Anton, or Anthony as he became known, never returned to his birth family or homeland and remained in his adopted city of London for the rest of his life. Unfortunately Anthony’s last thirteen years would not have been happy ones due to ill health and confinement.
This book records the history of this branch of the Hepting family, the dates of births, marriages and deaths throughout the years 1750-2020 in Germany and England.
