No damage to book. DJ has very slight edgeware. 2003, 1st Edition, 9 1/4 By 12". In this current work, sports car enthusiasts, will be treated to an in-depth analysis of the 2003 RX-8, beginning with the dark ages and culminating with the cars triumphant unveiling at the 2001 Toyota Motor Show.
Jack K. Yamaguchi's RX-8 features driving impressions, a photo gallery, and engineering blueprints on the RX-8, the rotary engine, and even on the history of racing with the rotary engine, including, of course, the historic victory in 1991 at Le Mans. Packed with information, this is a great guide for anyone interested in the story behind Mazda's RX-8 or the creation of a viable rotary engine.
Downsides include slight repetition - some of the same phrases are repeated in multiple places. A few grammatical errors (ex. "it's" instead of "its") distract from the reading, but otherwise, the reading is pleasant, though this book is definitely written for car enthusiasts: the writing is jargon-heavy and very technical, which can be a pro or a con depending on the extent of the reader's knowledge.
This book was especially fun for me to read since my boyfriend owns an RX-8 - fans of the car and the RX series are sure to love all the information packed in this book.
