A journalist and children's author, Benita Sen has written dozens of books -- fiction and non-fiction -- for children and young people. These have been published by Children's Book Trust, Pratham, Rupa & Co, Scholastic and Teri Press among others. She has been invited by the Department of Communal Harmony, Government of India, to contribute to a compilation. Her stories for children have also appeared in Women's Era, Chatterbox, Target, Amrita Bazar Patrika and Reader's Bulletin. A crafts book on reusing waste material has been published by Scholastic. Two of her stories -- Yakity Yak and It's Fair to Share -- have been published by Oxford University Press in Mulberry English Coursebook 3 and 5 respectively. Yakity Yak was selected by an independent body of authors for the 5th Nami Island International Children's Book Festival in Korea.
Sen lives in India.
