Oswald the bear sets out to resolve the mysteries of the hour. In his adventure with an elephant, the inquisitive and persistent Oswald makes many friends. This episode is told in verse with plenty of repetition and is intended for sharing, reading aloud and acting.
The story is about a bear going on a walk and he comes across different objects, such as a large stone and he asks if it is bigger than an Elephant until he meets an Elephant. Bear compares the Elephant to all the different things he has seen and says that some things are big and small.
This book is suitable for 3/4 year old's because it can be used in a maths lesson, where they are beginning to learn about different sizes. I enjoyed reading the book to the children because I got them involved by asking them if the objects are bigger than an elephant. The children had fun reading the book.
