It should be a week full of wine, wit and relaxation. However Jill s husband doesn t show up at a lakeside vacation house and instead of a holiday, the happily married Mark & Shelly are offered an intimate view of their friend s erratic behavior as she tries to cope. The lake is serene but in the house old passions bubble to the surface in this dramedy about the limits of friendship and marriage.

Set in an unspecified vacation community about two hours outside "the city," this short play in four scenes concerns itself with two couples (such as they are) looking for a relaxing vacation but finding something else due to their shared history and current personal struggles. Seems almost to be the logical conclusion of "weekender theatre" of the sort you would find outdoors during summer in Door County, WI or presumably any east coast/New England mountain town--tiny cast, relatable tropes, (slight) nostalgia for the past, and a few laugh lines.

Listened to this only because it was one of the few titles in the Alaska Digital Library that was available for immediate listening; won't win any awards but benign enough.
