Todd Reed is Certified Professional Coach and a four-time, award-winning Broadcaster of the Year who boasts nearly two decades of interpersonal coaching and on-air television and radio experience. From calling the shots as a sports anchor to hosting morning drive time segments and live call-in shows, he has covered the gamut. I was excited to win this a First Reads prize and I really wanted to like it. I was hoping to learn some skills to improve upon an already great relationship. But, for the life of me, I can not finish this book; very disappointing. The writing was on a very amateur level. The sub-title and description were very misleading; in the chapters I read, and the rest of the book skimmed, I did not see much on conversation skills with your partner, let alone "communicating on a higher level."
A friend of mine pegged it- it is like reading a compilation of Cosmopolitan articles- Why a woman should wear lingerie, why a woman should encourage her man to check out other women and enjoy some "window shopping" herself, coaching on kissing, tips on love making and how to feel sexier, etc.
Not what I was expecting at all.

I am a Presbyterian minister who teaches couples how to keep their marriages strong and thriving. A friend recommended this book to me, and when I read it, I decided to share it with my students. The response was amazing. Almost every couple who read it said it improved their relationship. They liked that this book was a quick, easy and fun read, and they liked Coach Todd's writing style and sense of humor. Without exception, they all went crazy over the love coupons in this book and many started to make their own. I continue to order copies of this book for my students, and it continues to be a big hit.

I was fortunate enough to win the book Conversation is Sexy: Communicate on a Higher Level, Connect on a Deeper Emotional Level by Todd R. Reed through Goodreads First Reads program. Overall, I enjoyed the book. Todd Reed had many wonderful suggestions. While reading this book, I was constantly happy that my husband and I are doing many of the things that he suggests in this book. His methods are logical and easy to follow. I would recommend the book to other couples.

I read this book after surviving a painful divorce, and it helped me get "back in the game" and make my new relationship one I never dreamed I could have at my age. Wow! What I liked best about this book is that it's not written by a stuffy, know it all Ph.D. or some shrink who uses big words. Coach Todd is wise, funny, straight forward and knows his stuff. After reading the book, I saw him speak, and he was even better in person. The love coupons in this book rock!

this book has some very helpful tips when dealing with your relationship. I didnt agree with some of the content and beleive it would hurt my relationship but overall it offered much insight into opening up the communication between your significant other and yourself. If you have never read any books on relationships this book is definetly a great first read.
