This text for students in the first course in programmable logic controllers focuses on the theory and operation of PLC systems with an emphasis on program analysis and development. The text is written in easy-to-read and understandable language with many crisp illustrations and many practical examples.
This book gives an introduction to PLCs which are foundational to industrial automation and make up the backbone of theme park ride and show control systems. It is a starting point, but lacks exercises with simulations to develop real skills. Unlike other textbooks there are no solutions provided in the back of the book which makes the exercise questions not very helpful.
