Warren Gilbert Boroson was an American author and journalist. He began his career in print journalism, and was best known as managing editor of Fact in 1964, when the magazine ran a controversial survey of psychiatrists on presidential candidate Barry M. Goldwater's mental fitness for office, which led to a lawsuit and revised ethical guidelines against psychological professionals diagnosing individuals they had not personally evaluated. He subsequently worked as an educator and writer of books about business and personal finance.
A worthwhile addition to any Warren Buffett book collection. Boroson provides a basic history of Buffett's background and his investing philosophy including his transition from grahamite to being influenced by Fisher. The best part of the book is the profiles of Buffett-like investors including Bill Ruane (Sequoia), Robert Hagstrom (Legg Mason), Lou Simpson (Geico), Chris Browne (Tweedy Browne), Marty Whitman (third Avenue), Walter Schloss, Robert Toray (Torray Fund) and others.
If you want to make money from the stock market and invest in fantastic companies, then this is definitely one book you should read. We all know how rich Warren Buffett is but how did he make his billions? To find the answer, read this book.
