What I like about this book, is the names of the pets. The dog is Muttson, and the cat is named Furlock. It is a good advanced reader (perhaps someone ready for a chapter book but not quite there yet) I was a little slow getting into but the end was pretty good! It is fun to find out why the chicken is SO grumpy!
