Ik it’s a kids book but there could’ve been so much more said. Like there are wayyy more kinds of waterfalls than described.

Types of waterfalls described:
Cascades-- flow over rocky steps
Cataracts-- the powerful ones that drop in long streams from high cliffs

Fun fact, Angel Falls in Venezuela is the tallest, uninterrupted waterfall at 3212 feet (979 meters).

This nonfiction book talks about how a waterfall forms, the different kinds of waterfalls, how waterfalls give us power, and the famous waterfalls. This book includes some vocabulary students may be unfamiliar with so I would use it to expand student's knowledge. I would also use this book because of the beautiful pictures it includes. I would have students write a story based on the pictures and the new words they learned reading the story.
