Twelve years. Two people. One chance. After more than a decade in Ireland working for the powerful Kin High Council, Aislinn Redding returns to the remote Australian bush she once called home. Rest and relaxation are just what the doctor ordered, but powerful nightmares stalk Aislinn at every turn and not even the space behind her eyelids is safe. For over ten years, Tobias Greenwood worshipped the sound of Aislinn's laughter inside his memory. Now, she's back - but the reality of her presence is far different from that of his dreams. To make matters worse, her scent sparks a primal reckoning that threatens not only Aislinn's life, but Tobias' sanity. Determined to make a new life for herself among the pack, Aislinn dismisses Tobias' hostility as nothing more than a grown man's tantrum. If he couldn't be bothered to call or write during her long absence, then why should she care what he thinks of her now? She shouldn't. She doesn't. Every flutter of Aislinn's lashes insists she's full of secrets, but Tobias can't keep his head on his shoulders long enough to work out whatthey might be. When danger surfaces in the otherwise peaceful bush, he knows in the depths of his soul that she's involved - though which side of the fence Aislinn sits on remains a mystery. Only one thing is certain; Tobias and Aislinn must either address the yawning divide between them... or sentence everyone they care about to a grisly death.
My name is Samantha Marshall and I’m an author of speculative fiction, a mother to two tiny dictators, an artist, a keen drinker of chai tea and, in my spare time, a unicorn.
I’ve been living stories as long as I can remember, telling them from the moment I could talk and writing them from the moment I could clumsily grip a crayon. Where I go, stories follow, like glitter on concert night. I see potential in things both strange and normal, am struck by inspiration in often unlikely places.
I believe in writing to the best of my ability, breathing life into my characters, always pushing the proverbial envelope, and dragons.
It's rare to find a decent paranormal romance set in Australia, but this is definitely one of them. I really like the world-building - sure, some of the set-up slowed things down, but now that the groundwork is laid I'm very keen to see a sequel.
A beautiful young woman, not sure if returning home to her old pack is her best option, but what else is she to do? It has been twelve long years since Aislinn has set foot on her old pack land. Her first love Tobias is still there but will he want her back when he finds out what has happened to her. This fantastic paranormal book is not your average love story. There is wolves, bears and even a tiger shifter. Plenty of characters to fall in love with and to keep you entertained. A great storyline and original plot which will keep you coming back for more. Cannot wait until I can grab the next book by this new talented author. Recommend you download it today.

Samantha has a good imagination and created an interesting array of shifters in an Australian setting. A story of reconnected friendships and the secrets that could tear them apart again or bring them together. Aislinn's powers are phenomenal as are her fighting skills. With a bunch of growly alpha's and a dose of humour, I was left wanting more.
Aislinn's Shadow had me enraptured from the start. The author didn't let up and kept the flow continuous. What I loved most was it was set in Australia, and a part of the world I used to live close to. That alone made my day, but add in a croc shifter called Steve and brumbie shifters and I can't help but love it even more. The characters are solid and have sublime backstories that just tug at the heart. What I like most about this author is the way she has a mastery for telling a story, regardless of the location, be it in space or a fantasy setting in an amalgamation of myths, she can make a reader escape reality and hide inside a well crafted story. I think Samatha Marshall is one hell of an author.
Really enjoyed this book. Aislinn had to overcome a lot of hurdles to reach her HEA, and her character developed along the way into a likeable person, but one to be reckoned with. I'd definitely read anything this author puts out. The first book of her other series (Sorcery and Stardust) was also enthralling.
I really loved this book , love a wolf story and this was different from the rest , loved the characters and the story line , on to the next book now !!!
