Dodie's Review Wynter Daniels does what many authors can't – develop fully formed characters that you want to spend time with, in a short format. Alex Jackson is everything a regularly sized woman could want: young, sexy, successful, and not put off by a woman who doesn't wear a size two. Macy is a woman scorned, but not by Alex. She has problems trusting men after her previous relationship failed. Alex and Macy share hot, steamy, fantastic sex repeatedly. Alex and Macy don't get all the way to their HEA – if their HEA is a permanent relationship – by the end of the book anyway, but I was satisfied with how and where the story ended. This was a great short story. If you're looking for an afternoon's entertainment, look no further.
This is a fast paced, hot erotic story of a widow, Macy, who meets her husband's oldest son, Alex for the first time at Warrens funeral. There is an immediate physical attraction between them and a very very hot erotic night ensues....I say, good for her. Warren wasn't anyone I would mourn especially since 6 of his mistresses showed up at the aforementioned funeral. It's not like their related by blood and Alex is more her age and he is a hunk. Half black, he was the product of a past fling and he wasn't hardly acknowledged by Warren at all.......They meet up again later and realize that they are ment for each other and more hotness, a little bit of naughty and a lot of erotic happens. I really liked this story, it's not your typical love story, it's got an element of forbidden ecstasy to it. I could identify with Macy and found myself rooting for Alex. I seriously recommend this book to adults who enjoys realism along with hot romance!
Who is Warren? Warren is Macy Halstead deceased husband who cheated on her, He is the father of Alex, who is half black and who Warren treated badly and hurt. When Macy and Alex meet they are mutually attracted to each other. They both think by sleeping with the other they , in a way would be getting even with Warren. Yet what starts out one way, goes another when they realize they like each other. I loved this sensual book. With chocolate sauce you can never go wrong. Sexy as sin!

REVIEW
Macy’s husband has passed and although they recently separated she went to the services and there were his children who think themselves above anyone else. Macy then spots a man who she doesn’t really know and it turns out his name is Alex and he is the oldest son (The Black Sheep) of her husband Warren’s son.
Alex really likes what he sees when he meets his father’s wife Macy. She is beautiful. Well Macy decides after hearing even more stories of her husband’s infidelity to just move on and when Alex asks if she would like to go get a drink she agrees. Alex is a very handsome man.
Alex and Macy are tired of dealing with Warren’s women and woes and decide they want a bit more. Alex is going to let Macy know she was well worth a man who could want just her.
These two go to Macy’s place and let the sizzle begin. Macy doesn’t want long term and Alex wants more than one night with this woman.
What can he do? Will she want him more than for one night?
Wow this book was over the top hot, sexy and even funny in some areas. And Warren? Well once a dog always a dog.
I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review Wynter Daniels
Mary Halstead finds out that her older husband was cheating on her and she moves out. He dies of a heart attack. She goes to his funeral and there she sees 6 of his mistresses. She thought maybe there was something wrong with her to cause his philandering, but looking at all of them and seeing how different they all were, she realizes that wasn't so. He just wasn't satisfied with one woman. She also meets his thirty- something son from another laison. He is a caramel colored, handsome and well built man. He's also around her age and they go out for a drink and talk. They are not blood related so what ensues is an hot and erotic story of two well deserving people who are mutually attracted to each other. I really enjoyed this story and if you like hot and erotic, so will you. This is definately for 18+ readers. This book was a gift from the author for an honest review.
Though she left her husband a month before his death, Macy Halstead must still attend his funeral for the sake of appearances. There, she has to sit and watch all his mistresses mourn for the man. The only person who attracts her attention in a positive way is Alex, her husband’s oldest son. The product of an affair, Alex has always believed he wasn’t as good in his father’s eyes as his half-brothers because of the color of his skin, and has resented the man his entire life. He’s attracted to the latest widow, as well as intrigued by how young she is. They come to agree almost at the same time – albeit to themselves at first – that sleeping with the other is the perfect revenge on Warren. If they get fantastic sex out of it, too, all the better.
And that’s what a good part of this story is. Sex comprises almost half of its word count, with conflict generated out of the blue and then disregarded paragraphs later. If that’s all you’re looking for, I suppose it works, but for me, I need to at least feel the attraction first. I didn’t here. I could see why Macy was attracted to Alex – from his description, he sounds hot – but she lacks any kind of personality or enticing description to make me understand why he feels so connected to her so quickly. Without feeling that connection myself, it became a chore to read sex scene after sex scene, in a voice that, while clean and rather unobtrusive, didn’t engage me either. This sex should’ve been charged with so much emotion – his anger, her anger, their sublimated desires – and it fell far short of reaching that. It’s a victim of too much. In this case, too much sex completely obliterated any impact the story might have generated because it didn’t give the characters enough time to come to life outside of their orgasms.
