Drama, angst, madness, passion, revenge, fears, pain and true love. That's what comes to my mind when I think about this story.

The main characters meet when they were kids but a traumatizing event drives them apart. When they finally meet again is when the story stars to develop.

Both characters are interesting. Victoria, on one hand, is a woman full of anger and hatred that looks for revenge, however, under that fury lies a very vulnerable and lovable human being. And Danielle, on the other hand, is a gentle, sensitive and sweet woman who gets caught in the middle of Victoria’s revenge.

I think this love story is haunting, sweet, heart-wrenching and passionate, evoking many emotions from the reader. The feelings portrayed in this book are intense and palpable which is something that captured me from the very beginning. I’d only point out two things that, in my opinion, would've made it even better; the existence of an epilogue and better crafted love scenes (a sequel would’ve been great).

All in all, I think this story is engaging and even though It’s not a light-read, I think it’s well-written with a compelling plot and interesting characters. Definitely, a book that you won’t forget easily.

Recommended for those who love romances with a high-level of angst and drama.
