Despite the author's decidedly grating personality, there's a lot of good scientific research, knowhow, theorization, and practical speculation in this one.

If you too can read past the terrible formatting, the litany of offensive and rude statements in the introduction, incessant comma and spelling errors, unnecessary discussion about the comparative attractiveness of all the women the author has casually or seriously dated, recurring descriptions of which actress each woman in his life resembles, and juvenile humor that garishly stands out amongst the good information, you may get some value from this book.

Barry seems to think little of other, non-formally educated, investigators. While on the other hand he will give a plug on where to buy electronics to detect ghosts. I get it, in a field of people without formal education on TV shows, he is in relative obscurity.

This book is great insight into the research of the possibility that we can cause our own supernatural phenomena. Opened my mind to great questions and truly made me curious. I read lots of articles and research following finishing this book.
