Summary: To most children, armadillos are a strange animal. It is interesting to learn about strange animals such as these and this book is bursting with information. Not only does it keep the students interested with fun and wacky facts, it is put in terms for them to be understand informational text. They are able to read facts about all different types of animals that they may not see every day so they can be intrigued and interested in this book from beginning to end.

Use in the classroom:I would use this during application of the alphabet in centers. Students could find unusual animals of each letter and learn fun facts in the process.
