Bluebonnet begins a friendship with an armadillo ancestor, a yawning glyptodont named Spike, and the two spend the day exploring the state park in search of new adventures. But little do they realize that Spike is making fresh dinosaur tracks. Bluebonnets quick thinking keeps visitors from finding out that theres an unusual creature in the park.

Since we've been to Dinosaur Valley State Park and I accidentally found this at the library, I thought this would be a cute quick read. It's a shame the animals have to be so afraid of humans.
Bluebonnet at Dinosaur Valley State Park by -Casad_ Mary Brooke I listened to this book on tape but it sttes it's a colorful children's book. Thought this might be about a local state park in CT that we've traveled to. Bluebonnet is an armadillo and they travel to the state park and he finds Spike-the last known dinosaur. She follows the tracks left. She discovers many other creatures... Lots of Texas history is divulged and the author makes it easy for children to understand. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
