One of three books I have recently read that unapologetically defend Marx's technological and economic determinism. But it is not as clear, efficient, and insightful as the other two: John McMurtry's "The Structure of Marx's World View" and G. A. Cohen's "Marx's Theory of History." Interestingly, all three writers are philosophers from outside the tradition of Marxist science.
