Written by a collective of black university students from different nationalities and backgrounds, the poetry in this anthology chronicle personal experiences and opinions on the topic of blackness and belonging.
The Reclaim Project is a collective of talented creatives of black heritage currently based in the University of Warwick purposed in conversation about blackness through poetry, creativity, and conversation.
These poems are a contemplative collection, thoughtfully structured and woven together. Though I was there at its publication, this was my first time sitting to read it through. To say the least, I'm immensely proud of this anthology - from its format, the structure, the reflective chapter intros, to everyone's voices ringing clear in the chorus of feeling. I enjoyed all of the poems and am left turning an even more inquisitive eye inwards again to my and our collective questions, fracture, and dream of a reclaimed future.
