Developed in the 1970’s almost as a theoretical and extremely practical hybrid between the emerging computer science and the psychological innovations of the day, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) has proven to be useful in the mental health, medicine, and coaching and personal development arenas. Chiefly because the startling efficiency and effectiveness of the resulting techniques and the fact that practitioners, who lacked years relevant education and training, could get significant results, those in other fields have criticized and resisted the wide acceptance of NLP. However, it is difficult to argue with results.
The intent of this volume is to present NLP in a logical, yet concise manner so that the reader can immediately apply some of these techniques. Hopefully, based upon the familiarity presented, the reader can decide whether to pursue further Practitioner, Master Practitioner, or Trainer education under a qualified instructor. (Training at each level should include a minimum of 120 hours of classroom instruction at each level.)
This series was originally developed as a course presented by The International Hypnosis Research Institute as part of the Advanced Neuro-Noetic Hypnosis certification program. It is intended to summarize NOS concepts in a logical and but thorough manner while providing protocols that can be used almost immediately by practitioners.
