If you think this book deserves and avg of 2 stars, well, you're wrong. I bought this book for 10 bucks and flipped it for 80. It was a great book for the Step 1 USMLE. I actually liked it--it even explained the mechanism of the lac operon and how glucose inhibits the ihibitory protein, until lactose comes along, causes it to fally off, and the genes are transcribed to utilize lactose in the bacteria. Amazing.
