Sister, Let Me Tell 'Ya
by Bernadine
Sister, Let Me Tell ‘Ya is the engaging and heart-wrenching story of Bernadette, a young African-American woman who aspires to live her dream of becoming an author.

Raised by two loving parents, Bernadette appreciates the advantages she has had in life and seeks to help other young people who have not had the firm grounding she was blessed with. She tries to stay focused on her goals, but when the first man she falls in love with turns out to be a part of the very lifestyle she is struggling against, she finds herself torn between her ideals and good judgment and her feelings for Rick.

A developing relationship with Tony, a lifelong friend, seems to offer positive support, but along the way Bernadette fails to heed some of her own best advice: to be true to herself and strong within herself before seeking to love another.

Sister, Let Me Tell ‘Ya encourages readers to consider the ramification of Bernadette’s choices and to consider how we might apply those lessons in our own lives. The author’s powerful message strengthens her appealing and insightful novel.

I am an new author who is looking forward to many years of writing children's & adult books. She has always had a love of children and worked many years in early childhood education. During these times she witnessed the joy children felt as I would demonstratively read books. In addition I am an very active mom who loves to nurture not only her children, but those of family and community. I often have story time with those I love and cared for. I developed my story telling skills through the numerous books I read to children, this gave me an inspiration to tell my own story. Hakim and Terrance Shadow Mystery is the result. When I am not reading to children or involved in some other child nurturing activity, I can be found as a business woman online T-SHIRT store at http://www.cafepress.com/bernadine215 . I am available for interviews, book signings or public reading in schools and libraries. Also I have an online Radio show at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/girlpower . Call in and talk to the author guess for the day at 1-619-789-4307 !
