From the start of this book, I just couldn't put it down. This novel was so good I thought James Patterson or John Grishman was the author or at least contributed to the work. Senior Deputy District Attorney Nayla Smith is on edge, trying to bring down a judge who would do anything to keep the mystery of his wife's death in the dark. As Nayla and her husband, Ben, along with the Cleveland P.D. Detectives and the D.A's office; begin getting closer to solving the investigation, strange events begin to happen that will put all of their lives in danger. This book deserves to be movie or better yet a TV series next to The Firm. That being said, this book is definitely worthy of a 5 star rating.
First let me say, Toye Brown knows how to do suspense. Nayla's Dilemma pulled me in and had me liking the characters from page one, which is an essential element for me.
Senior Deputy D. A., Nayla Smith is attempting to bring down a judge who wants his wife's death to remain unsolved. But as Nayla and her husband, Ben, along with other Cleveland detectives in conjunction with the D.A's office get closer to the truth, strange events begin to happen, events that will put them all in jeopardy. Ms. Brown keeps up the suspense page after page.
Nayla's Dilemma kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting more. If you like suspense with characters that pop, Nayla's Dilemma is well worth the read.
This was a very emotional and heartfelt story. Teamwork and determination help make this a great book. Nayla is very strong and having a strong spousal and family support.
I won this book on good-reads give-away and it was really good i really did enjoy this book this book is about a judge who is very bad and they are trying to prove that he killed his wife and these other people keep turning up dead and he also kidnapped the deputy district attorney's nayla the person who took her also raped her and beat her up she was gone fo a long time and her husband was a detective called Ben Smith and he goes looking for but before they find her she escape's from the person who beat her and raped her and the person who did this does get put in to prison but then he gets out because the people involved fake his death and to get back at the people behind the kidnaps and the killings he send a video tape in and a letter to explain what the judge put him up to so they had their case and they just had to prove it to the courts i don't want to spoil any thing about the out come but i do think you should read this book
This book was better than I thought...the twists and turns kept me interested. I am always in awe of books written about the legal system and what those in power do and think they can get away with. This was a good read!
