I read a translation of this book into Czech language. I have to say it gave decent description on the topic. And I found some parts really useful. I have several different Phalaenopsis orchids and I was puzzled by their behaviour and it seems I cannot treat them all the same way, since they are actually different. I also was lucky to come across some which produce scent and I thought they do not exist, but it seems they do! So I actually did learn new information from the book.
Having said that, do not expect it to have all the information, it is a small and relatively short book, so many of the orchids are described in short details, and you may not find all of them there, especially if you look at Dendrobium orchids. But thats fine, as you do get some basic information if you want to start your own collection.
Overall, it is a decent book. I am sure that there may be even some better ones, but it still gave me some basic information I was after!
