I'm not sure why I picked this book up other than I acquired it upon marrying my wife and she had it in college. It is a useful examination on the nuts and bolts of Texas government, but I felt like it had a left-leaning bias although not a severe one.

I didn't particularly care for this text book. It was boring. The writing was overly technical and they made no attempt whatsoever to make Texas goverment seem appealing.

Utilized this as a textbook for a class. Not a bad overview of Texas government.
