"You are the steadying factor in my life, my dearest friend. Without you I'd be lost..."
Joe had been Guada's friend since forever.
Now she had to convince Joe to pretend he was her husband. But for the first time in her life, he refused to help her!

The story was for me was exciting and at the same time it gave me a good time to laugh. This is a mature story, para sa akin. Hindi iyong tipo na kilig-kilig pa(as expected from Ms. Martha). For the past years, nagbabasa ako ng mga likha niya at napagtanto kong wala masyadong kilig na scene o kung meron man, marahil masyadong manhid lang ata ako para mapansin iyon.
I like the concept though, very mature. Nakakatawa siya na ewan. I like adult jokes most often, pilya naman kasi ako kung minsan.
From the start, hindi ako nabore. Promise.
Not a good book for me. I'm expecting a better conflict sa book.
This was a complete waste of time. As a reader, I always read a book from start to finish. This means that even if I am tempted to DNF it to oblivion, I try to see if there are any changes in the pace of the plot/storyline. I see that this novella was a paraphrase of the equally-insipid Two-Week Wife by Miranda Lee. Lacks originality and verve. Would recommend people to not be duped by the back cover blurb, or buy it at all.
Anyway, who the hell calls her heroine "Guada"? I saw an equally awful one in the form of "Cyanide" from another PHR book in NBS. WTF? Was the latter inspired by someone who lived in a fishing community and had a completely twisted sense of creativity?
Spoiler alert: Joe and his two male friends engaged in a seaside cave orgy with two slutty girls after they graduated college. The said girls were merely picked up after they were seen lounging at the beach. Guada was a voyeuristic little shit of a minor. The author has no chill, man. Really, that was a distasteful tidbit placed in the introduction.
I would have given this book a negative 5 stars, but Goodreads doesn't have that feature yet.
Ang ganda ng story kaso masyadong mahaba and sometimes boring. Ang chaka ng names! Really? 20th century but still Guadalupe and Joe?? Pero ok yung storyline.
