This new edition provides constructive guidelines to readers to open their minds to the challenges of creating value. Updates to all the material from the first edition are included and new examples have been added throughout.
That is a surprisingly good book for marketers and business strategists, definitely worth a reading.
Alone the section with the explanation of differences of industry vs public market vs private market is priceless. Also, the author developed a good model of differentiation types, etc.
I do not recommend this book for novices, it requires some background knowledge in basic marketing, strategic marketing and knowledge of porter's works, etc.
If you struggle with definition of markets, understanding of what is the difference between an industry and a market ( private/public), read this book.
I rarely recommend books, most of the time I rate books with a 1-3 stars, this one of those rare books which deserves a strong 5 on my rating.
