This book was geared more to someone looking to create a line of food based products (such as hot sauces, or cupcakes) whereas I'm looking more to work for myself as a caterer / personal chef. Regardless, it contained some great information about what it takes to start a business, including information on business licensees, health regulations and work space needs. As a result, I'm thinking about my business in a very different way, with overall beneficial results.

I was expecting to see more tips for people aiming to start a restaurant business, but most tips are still helpful for people who are small food entrepreneurs, with a passion for cooking. Some of the appendices, especially relating to accounting can be a bit overwhelming and may be a tad repetitive. One of the great things this book does is to bring voices from real entrepreneurs to complement the author's advices.

Pretty good book with some great hints for starting a food business. I found the stories of people starting business' very inspiring. Her chapter on finances very helpful and there was some helpful information throughout the book.
