Let me start off by saying that this was a crafty type book....in BLACK and WHITE! Hello?!? Talk about a creativity damper! There were a lot of recipes in the book, which kinda threw me a bit. When I think of a book telling about homespun gifts, I don't expect a large portion of it to be recipes. There were some really cute ideas, particularly things to do with children's books, like giving a book in a basket containing other things related to the book. I thought those ideas where pretty creative and something that would make a thoughtful and appreciated gift. Many ideas were of baskets and things you could put in to them as a theme - like mom spa baskets etc. Those, while nice, were less impressive, something I think the average Joe could come up with quite on their own without needing to reference a special book. So, so-so on content, boo on the black and white.

I LOVE this book! Great ideas for homemade gifts, complete with scripture verse tags that you can copy and use with the gifts. (If you're on my friends list, don't read this book, LOL, because I want to use several of the ideas for future gifts!) I got this book from the library, and it's one of the few I'll be looking to buy soon.

I had forgotten all about this book until I was recently cleaning out my craft space. This has some really great gift ideas. I am going to re-read this one and maybe start actually using the ideas.
