Higgins gives us an insightful read into the important theological debate that have gone on for centuries and helps to clarify them. He is objective and offers no answers but leaves it us to formulate where we would stand in the debate on such questions as apostasy, the relationship between the Son and the Father, man's ability or inability to obey God, the primacy of the pope, supernatural and natural theology, etc.
The author also provides discussion questions making the book available for group study as well as private reflection.
