Richmond's Demon NoteBook, published by Water Row Press, is a high-point (pun intended) in Steve's Gagaku. A beautiful book made to resemble the old mead notebooks. Every line is silver and dripping with addictive honey. Once you hear Gagaku, you hear Steve's demons, as well as his cool California shadow sparring for the perfect song. Stylistically genius, rich in a drug heavy bohemian tongue, this mostly over-looked "meat poet" is a poet for folks who need poetry like a junkie needs to Fix.
