for the Dizionario biografico degli Italiani,
in which the story of Francis s life was presented as succinctly as possible. Following this is a collection of texts whose purpose is to lead the reader back to the sources that serve as a basis for a historical reconstruction.

love how st francis proposed the gospel as a sufficient rule of life and then spent the rest of his life getting yelled at for it 🙃
