Design of a Gang Programmer Using AVR Microcontrollers

Rate this book
The objective of this project was to design a low cost gang programmer which could program multiple serial EEPROMs at a time from a single master EEPROM. A prototype has been developed for the same using the AVR ATmega32 microcontroller which is an 8 bit RISC microcontroller. The EEPROMs to be programmed were 24C16 (16Kb) serial EEPROMs.The capacity of the gang programmer developed far surpasses the capacities of most commercially available EEPROMs and is sure to satisfy the requirements of most industries at less than 10% of the cost normally incurred.
