The cases included in this textbook are filled with dispassionate, judicial descriptions of horrific accidents:

E.g.,

"Immediately following plaintiff's contact with the dashboard, he realized that his right eye had been injured, as it was paining him and blood and liquid was emerging therefrom."

"Plaintiff heard a whooosh, had a sense of time being elongated, felt searing heat and saw the skin peeling from his body."
