Fabulous insight into the mind of Karsh, and into his insights into his subjects.

This is not a technical, how-to book for portrait-photographers. It is an interpersonal how-to book, Karsh often describing how he wanted to get to know the person behind the face, and to show their personality. He talks very little about posing, and not at all about lighting.

I'm sure that was intentional. His work was phenomenal, and anyone would enjoy this book, and portrait photographers will find inspiration and ideas.
