Study Partners by Rebecca Leigh
* I received a copy of this book from Breathless Press in exchange for an honest review*

I will never be able to look at studying the same after reading Study Partners. Carla and Edward have been study partners off and on throughout their three years of law school. Both have harbored a secret that doesn’t come out until almost the end of law school.

Carla and Edward are from two different worlds brought together through law school. Carla is from California and has plans to work for a prestigious law firm when she graduates. While she is studying for her finals, Edward shows up at the library and makes her wildest fantasies come true.

Edward is from Texas and his future mapped out after graduation. He plays the lead in many of the girl’s dreams. Is it true what they say, “Everything is bigger in Texas.”? Carla would love to find out.

The two of them have a history as study partners. They want each other but haven’t revealed their feelings, until that night in the library. The study session between them in the private study room was very HOT. I love that they have known each other for three years but have kept their feelings for each other to themselves.

They went into this relationship knowing they had a short time together but were determined to make the most of it, no regrets. The ending was fabulous and made me smile. My husband has been my study partner throughout college and grad school, we’ve had many late night study sessions.

Overall I enjoyed Study Partners and give it 3½ Flaming Hearts.

The pressure of the final exam had finally gotten the best of both Carla and Edward. Seeing as how the time to part was fast approaching, they decide to throw caution to the wind and act on the lust they've each secretly held in check from the other. Now with their lust satisfied, feelings are developing, but the real world calls and the inevitable separation that will take them into the next phase of their lives.

Things in this story progress quickly between the characters and unfortunately left me wanting more. The characters come from different backgrounds and I would've really liked to have seen their attraction and chemistry for one another explored a bit more. There is still a little bit of an unknown by the end, but for a quickie it is still quite enjoyable with enough heat to have me seeking out what else this author has to offer.
