There are actually two other books I picked along with this one. The Chizu Saeki book taught us to moisturizer extensively. The other book by female dermatologist Michelle Copeland said nothing new: exfoliate religiously.
On the other hand, this book said that skin has its own repairing mechanism. Chizu in her book did say something similar, that we shouldn't wash our face too much, that sometimes we can do face detox by not washing it say-for 3 days.
I understand it now when I practice myself. My dermatologist gave me a strong facial wash that peels my epidermis, worsen my sebaceous glands, and finally gave me bigger pores. That common exfoliating, micro dermabrasion, facial treatment is messing up with skin natural regenerating period, making epidermis thinner. Love this book.

Yikes. After basically dumping out my entire makeup/creams drawer, I am sort of at a loss at where to go now (aside from buying his line, of course).

Wish he provided more useful tips about what to look for in cosmetics, not just all the scary things to avoid.
