A family travels throughout South America. Time include volunteer projects, learning Spanish and just typical touring. Each chapter includes a section written by their child. It's great to have the kid's perspective. Doesn't include all of South America (how could it?), but that why it's only 4 stars in my book.

This was a worthwhile read since we are currently planning a trip, with our son, to South America.
