The Hollow Tree really is an excellent guide to understanding the mystical Qabalah and Tarot from the magical practitioner's point of view. It is an ideal dip-in for instant referencing and is couched in layman's terms for the beginner, until many of the books on the traditional Jewish versions. Leans heavily towards Aleister Crowley but this does not detract from it being a perfect student's guide - for which it was intended. Suzanne Ruthven
