Vectors and Tensors in a Finite-Dimensional Space.- Vector and Tensor Analysis in Euclidean Space.- Curves and Surfaces in Three-Dimensional Euclidean Space.- Eigenvalue Problem and Spectral Decomposition of Second-Order Tensors.- Fourth-Order Tensors.- Analysis of Tensor Functions.- Analytic Tensor Functions.- Applications to Continuum Mechanics.
An exceptional reference at a time when I need to prove my worth and build my own technological system from scratch. I'm sorry I didn't read the book 10 years ago, but I'm soothed because computer 10 years ago didn't have the computing power to solve tensor problems.
Quite simply put, this book is beyond bad. I am a student under him at RWTH Aachen university and majority of the class cannot follow what he teaches. If you already have a fairly good grasp of the subject, then you can attempt to read this book, otherwise it will be like Greek and Latin.
Even if you have a decent grasp on the subject of Tensors I think every book out there is better than this one. Stay away from this one and save your money.
