Computer Architecture and Design RISC

Rate this book
Computer Architecture and Design RISCModern computer technology requires professionals in all areas of computing to understand both hardware and software. Interaction between hardware and software at different levels provides a basis for understanding the basic principles of computing. Whether your primary interest is hardware or software, computer science or electrical engineering, the central idea in computer architecture and design is the same. Therefore, this book shows the relationship between hardware and software, and focuses on the underlying concepts of modern computers. The recent transition from a single processor to a multicore microprocessor has confirmed that this perspective we have seen since the first edition was correct. Even though programmers did not listen to this advice, there were times when computer designers, compiler writers, and semiconductor technologists were able to run programs faster and more energy-efficient without having to fix them, but thats the end of the day. To run faster, programs must be in parallel. It is the goal of many researchers to make programmers do not even know the parallel nature of the underlying hardware that they are programming, but it will take a long time to come true. In our opinion, programmers need to understand the hardware software interface in order to run programs efficiently on parallel computers for at least the next decade.Knowledge of assembly language and logic design requires understanding of the basic computer architecture, as well as those who want to know how to design a computer, how a system works, and why it performs so much, A person who has little experience with language or logic design can be the reader of this book.
