When I began reading How to Position Yourself as the Obvious Expert by Elsom Eldridge I had high expectations that I assumed wouldn't be met. By the time I finished reading this book, my expectations were not only met, but had been exceeded. How to Position Yourself as the Obvious Expert isn't a hoaky self-help book filled with methods on how to appear superior to others or trick others into thinking that you're an expert when you aren't. Elsom Eldridge wrote a masterpiece filled with helpful information on networking, marketing, branding, personal development and other things related to becoming an expert. One of the biggest takeaways that I got from How to Position Yourself as the Obvious Expert is the importance of getting published/writing a book. Writing a book positions you as an expert on the subject your writing about, can be used as a marketing tool, helps you learn about your field, can provide an additional stream of income, can land you online, radio, and newspaper interviews, and this book helps you understand that writing a book isn't as hard as you'd probably assumed. I would recommend reading this book, it has helped my business in a tremendous way.

Just read this book and Book Yourself Solid: The Fastest, Easiest, and Most Reliable System for Getting More Clients Than You Can Handle Even if You Hate Marketing and Selling. If I were only going to read one, I would read the latter, which is a little more polished and current. However, there are plenty of good ideas and truly motivational stories in this book which are not duplicated in the other book, so reading both was not a waste of time.

Took a couple of the tips from this book, and my business partner saw one of the resulting products and said, "Wow! That looks so professional!!" I've taken numerous and easy actions that are propelling me into becoming the expert. Thank you Elsom and Mark Eldridge!
