We've been friends ever since Mark Bennet's seventh grade boy-girl birthday party. I know he has a girlfriend. I know it's impossible for anything to happen. I'm not even sure I want anything to happen because I like that feeling I get in my stomach when I see him. "I need air, wanna go for a walk?" I whisper to him. "Yeah." I put my scarf on and we take off down the sidewalk toward Dame Street.
