Nine mothers explore the intense, sometimes painful, emotional terrain of raising children with such special needs as autism, Down syndrome, AD/HD, and multiple disabilities. I loved reading the insights of many parents of special need children, the emotions, the struggles, the simple things they enjoyed and the little things that would irritate them. While most of the children had cognitive conditions and not physical like my son, some things are just the same. We all have our own normalcy and acceptance issues.
