Nurse Rosa Cagnalia has been running for a long time. She was part of an unofficial undercover drug bust that went bad when the undercover cop was killed and her best friend was jailed. She is now a wanted woman for several crimes - most she didn't commit.
The book starts with a routine traffic stop. Officer Samuel Packard pulls her over for speeding, and things go downhill from there. Sam had no idea what he was getting into when he decided to arrest this feisty woman! Now they are both running for their lives to find answers before someone decides to take her out permanently!
There was a lot of action in this. The book kept me going from the first page to the last. The author continued to give me something new to look at, and I began wondering how this all would turn out.
The romance was barely there, but that's to be expected in a book like this. It was a very good action-packed book!
I don't think we have all the answers yet, but there are two more books in this series.
The book was full of twists and surprises. The characters were believable. They were human, real. The story was a good one. It keeps the reader engaged the entire time.
